TEMASEK DESIGN SCHOOL Assignment One: Hands-On 1.Objective 2.Task 3.Submission Rules & Policies 4.Assessment & Criteria 1.OBJECTIVE ·Utilise AutoCAD Graphical User interface in the 2D computer-aided drafting. ·Perform an operation through lectures followed by hands-on practice of the skills learned. ·Encourage students to expand their knowledge through hands-on drawing exercises. 2.TASK Hands-on exercise(s) will be designed to test the application of the subject at each lesson. Students receive the background material in the lectures and the hands-on exercises are based on key aspects of the topics. You are to utilise and maximise the lab sessions to work on the assignment. 3.SUBMISSION RULES AND POLICIES General Rules: Students are expected to arrive on time, ready for lab session for every lesson. Late arrival will not be entertained. Submission Procedure: Students are to submit the hand-on exercises stated for the lesson at the end of every lesson. Hands-on exercises must be saved in a single file in the following manner: DADra2007/T01 or TO2/save file in your *name as in the register eg DADra2007/TO1/BORA BIN BING *Only official name is accepted. Late Work Policy: Late work will not be accepted. Work is due on the due date and time in whatever stage of completion has been attained. Under extenuating circumstances, such as death in the family, or verifiable illness, the due date might be extended. Please make every effort to notify your lecturer(s) of the pending circumstances as they occur. Works and or assignments that have not developed sequentially under the supervision of your lecturer(s) will not be accepted. 4.ASSESSMENT & CRITERIA Periodic check will be conducted and progressive assessment will be carried out during the lab sessions. The hands-on assignment forms 60% component for assessment in the subject for Digital Architectural Drafting. The assessment criteria of the exercise(s) will be based on three components: Submission: this refers to the degree of completeness of exercise, submitted at the end of the lesson. Knowledge: this refers to the familiarity with basic concepts, information, and procedures. Comprehension: this refers to the understanding of concepts and the ability to demonstrate their relationships. Application: this refers to the successful competency of concepts and information to complete specific tasks.
